Meet the Team at Pinnacle Performance

David Harrison

David extensive experience of working in sport, business and education environments helping people on their journey to reach their PINNACLE PERFORMANCE.  His philosophy has evolved through his education and experience to give him an unique understanding of sports psychology, the sports industry, education and working with individuals to realise their PINNACLE PERFORMANCE. 

Background: Over 11 years experience working with athletes and teams from a range of sports.  These sports include football, cricket, volleyball, basketball, athletics, tennis and triathlon.  Currently he is Head of Psychology for elite youth players and coaches at Doncaster Rovers Football Club.   He has also applied the principles of sport psychology to business and personal development working with people in business.  He has worked within the higher and further education sectors helping students to achieve PINNACLE PERFORMANCE. David is employed by the Sheffield College where he teaches primarily on the foundation degree in Sport and Exercise Coaching on the HE programme.   David is also an Associate Lecturer for the Open University on the Sport and Exercise Psychology: A Case Study Approach module.

He is passionate about developing sport psychology and has set up the North West Sport Psychology Forum which is a forum for practitioners working in sport psychology to exchange ideas to improve their practice.  He also writes regularly for Grassroots Media and Sportinmind.com.  Check his articles out on the Publications page

He has also written his first book (The Journey: The Elements for Success, Winning and Increased Performance).  The contents and strategies of this book underpin his work with clients in sport and business.

Qualifications:

MSc Sport and Exercise Science (Sport Psychology), BSc (Hons) Sport Development and Coaching, PGCE teaching qualification from Sheffield Hallam University.




Personal Information: He is a keen runner and is an all round sport enthusiast. He loves to be outside, reading, travel and spending time with his family. 

 Richard Glynn

Richard is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute Personel Development.  He has 22 years experience working with RAF teams developing their team building, organisational, administration and leadership skills. Since leaving the RAF he has experience of business and education environments helping people reach their PINNACLE PERFORMANCE. Richard is employed by the Sheffield College where he teaches primarily within the Public Services programmes. 

His experience gives him a thorough understanding of public and private industries, education and working with individuals.
